Great Food and Cool Tunes
Greetings my Inland Empire Swankies. This post is about a dinning experience I had at a restaurant called D'Canters. I hope it helps you, for when you need a Swank place to take friends or family. Enjoy the review on:
I was invited out to go listen to some awesome music and great dining by a very cool friend of mine. I decided to check out the place and see what all the fuss was about. The name of the restaurant is D'Canters.
The food was fantastic and the music was an incredible mix of classic rock, oldies and jazz music. The ambiance of the establishment was great.
The eatery is dimly lit and set up very Swanky. Already this place had my attention. Then it was time to take a look at the menu. Because of the atmosphere, I figured the prices would be outrages. To my surprise, the prices were extremely reasonable. I ordered a pasta dish. The presentation of the food was outstanding.
Then it was time for the taste test... "Incredible!" The food was fantastic. After dinner, I ordered their desert... a Chocolate Molten Cake. Absolutely to die for my Swankies. Seriously delicious.
I would totally recommend D'Canters in Wildomar, CA. You can be California relaxed for your attire, while still keeping it Swank with the atmosphere. You can experience great dinning at reasonable prices. You won't regret your dinning experience. Best of all, you get to Keep it Local, Keep it Classy, but most importantly, you get to Keep it Swank!
Check out D'Canters at:
32100 Clinton Keith Rd.
Wildomar, CA 92595

Heritage House: Riverside Metropolitan Museum
This weekend, I was traveling around Riverside County with some amazingly swanky and posh friends of mine. One of my friends told me about a museum called Heritage House. Now, the name is not that memorable. I knew I had to try to commit it to memory though, because it was a bunch of swanky awesomeness that I had to tell you exists in the Inland Empire.
Here is what their site had to say about themselves:
Now, you Swankies know what got my attention. Yes, that's right... the part about the elegant reminder of the affluent homes, which once graced Magnolia Ave. Mmhmm. Swank. There were swanky folks in that neighborhood. What happened? Gotta go to the museum for the actual historical rundown. But don't count Riverside out just yet. The Swankies are still there, keepin' it swank. They just have migrated their posh dwellings to other streets. I will cover that in another blog. So, back to the affluence the heritage house wants you to remember.... It appears Swankies, that the Heritage Hhouse shares my goal, in wanting you to remember that not only was the Inland Empire Posh and Swank, but we can and will be the trendsetters again. Yes Indeedy.Owned by the Riverside Metropolitan Museum, this 1891 Victorian showplace depicts life in turn-of-the century Riverside. An elegant reminder of the affluent homes which once graced Magnolia Avenue, Heritage House began as a project of the Riverside Museum Associates, a volunteer support group of the Riverside Metropolitan Museum. Restored and maintained in a manner reflective of its nineteenth-century construction, this grand house is now a meticulously researched example of historic tastes, values, and lifestyle. Mr. and Mrs. James Bettner settled in Riverside in the late 1870s, within a decade of the young town's founding. - http://www.riversideca.gov/museum/heritagehouse/default.asp
I was glad my posh Lovely shared information about the Heritage House with me. You all need to check it out... see if you like it for yourselves. You can be fashionably late there too. I promise I won't hold it against you. Here's the info you will need:

They have already done a movie. Yes Swankies, they have already done a film. Bellflower 2011. Now, they are at it again. They are looking for a little love though from our wonderful metropolitan Inland Empire hubs. Let's all make the effort to help them out.

I took a gander at their first film. These Cats are good. I mean, it is just raw talent at its best! I am looking forward to seeing what they are going to do next. Swankies, you should be doing that too. As always, thank you for viewing and listening, of course. If you know some local talent, please let me know. I'd be happy to give them a little exposure. Defining the Inland Empire and Swanky Things to Do
Greetings
Inland Empire Swankies. Yep, its been a spell again, but with good reason. I've been traveling about., though much of it for personal reasons. So, I wanted to
get some things straight here. First…. What is the Inland Empire? Okay, I've had people tell me a million different things. I’m going to set it straight.
The Inland Empire covers both Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.
It
is a metropolitan area, consisting of urbanized and suburbanized sections. The
locations that the Inland Empire covers are the: Chino Valley, Coachella
Valley, Cucamonga Valley, Menifee Valley, Murrieta Valley, Perris Valley, Temecula
Valley, and Victor Valley (as cited by http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inland_Empire_(California).
You can also view the previously mentioned cite hyperlink, to learn more about
the Inland Empire. So why all the talk of defining the Inland Empire? What does
it have to do with being swanky? The short answer… Everything and Money.
We
as I.E. Swankies, must do our parts, spending our money into our metropolitan
hubs, instead of traveling to San Diego, Los Angeles, or Orange County. You
spend your hard earned money in your neighborhoods, and you will help to
produce an Inland Empire, with a stronger, more rich and more dynamic economy. Also, the areas will become richer in diversity through healthy promotion of your hubs for community growth. Now
that we have defined our community and set all you Swankies up with a financial
obligation to it… allow me to give you a brief run down of some swanky arts & entertainment performances coming up! Enjoy.
The Broadway Show Stoppers will be
performing Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013 @2:00pm at the Old Town Temecula Community
Theater.
Kenny Loggins will be performing at
the Coach House, in San Juan Capistrano Feb. 27th. [Located
approximately 35 miles or 48 minutes from Lake Elsinore, CA]
The Riverside County Philharmonic
will be performing at the Fox Performing Arts Center, in Riverside at 7:30pm on
Sun Mar. 24th.
For more events and information… See
this link (http://www.iefun.com/January-2013/Concerts-and-Events-Calendar-2013/)
Keep the Inland Empire amazing my
friends. This is your swanky hub. Let nothing and no one take it from you. Until
then my friends… You know what to do. Keep it sassy, Keep it classy, Keep it
Safe… and most of all… Keep It Swank!
Talk to you all again soon!
