Things to do on the Weekend for you Inland Empire Swankies

Hey Swankies! I know it has been a while since I've written anything here. I've had some great things going on in my life, distracting from my Inland Empire reporting. This report is going to be on great things to do on the weekends when you are bored.

For years, I know there has been a sub-cultural war going on about the Inland Empire and Orange County. Well, from my blog, it's more than obvious where I lean. However, I don't completely write off Orange County. It has its good points. Dana Point, Newport Coast, Crystal Cove, Laguna Nigel, Quail Hill, Turtle Rock and Laguna Woods being a few of them.

With that said, here are some fun things to do over in Orange County if you should be bored and feel a bit swanky. Head over to Village Gallery at 502 South Coast Hwy, Laguna Beach, Ca. Their phone number is (949) 768-8421. Once there, you will find the works of some incredible artists.

One artist in particular, Fabian Perez, will absolutely blow your mind with his chic and classy works. I spent over an hour inside of the gallery myself. It was quite a sight. You might not want pass this swanky opportunity up.

Next, head over to Crystal Cove, yeah.... the state park. Not terribly expensive to get into and you own your own piece of the ocean view. It is a very nice and clean state park.

Finally, when your all done, take a drive down to Laguna Nigel and have lunch at Raya next to the Ritz Carlton. Good food at reasonable prices and guess what.... Outdoor seating so you can enjoy the sweet and soothing sound of the ocean. Oh yeah, very swank indeed!

Then, when you are done for the day, head back out to the Inland Empire and do some shopping. There are great hot spot shopping places all over the Inland Empire. If you are going North, shop in Victorville, Rialto, San Bernardino, Redlands and all the way to Palm Springs you have great I.E. shopping. Going south, you have Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Corona, Lake Elsinore, Temecula, and Fallbrook, where there is Great Inland Empire shopping hot spots too.

Invest your cash out where you live, because its the best thing to do to build your cities economy. However, there is nothing wrong with every now and then going to an area worth some of your time and dropping a few greenbacks elsewhere too. So for now, this is my short but sweet weekend getaway. Enjoy my Swankies.

Whatever you do in life, keep it cool, keep it classy... but most importantly, keep it swank!

Inland Empire Posh Part One. Real Estate

Depending on who you talk to in the Inland Empire, you will get a different idea of what it means to be Inland Empire Posh. There are many affluent middle class areas in the Inland Empire, covering the vast majority of Riverside and San Bernardino County. I had first discovered that there was a swank subculture in the Inland Empire after I had hired some contractors to do work on my house. During breaks, they would talk about Orange County and how posh it was. It was interesting on what they viewed as posh. It wasn't so much Orange County that was posh but more Dana Point, Laguna Niguel, Newport Coast and parts of Laguna. However, they didn't live in these areas, they just thought it was posh. They said there were no posh areas in the Inland Empire. Oh how wrong they were.

What is posh? Posh means: The quality or state of being elegant, stylish, or upper class... in a word... swanky. I started looking around. Scouting. Seeing what I could find that I could say was Inland Empire posh. There were quite a few areas. Let's start with real estate first and then we will find how many posh places we can find as in dining. This way, we keep it swank.

Real Estate Part One: 15 Fwy South, from Rancho Cucamonga to Temecula, the Poshest areas of the Inland Empire

Vintage Dr., Rancho Cucamonga

San Antonio Heights, Upland

Hidden Springs, Corona

Off the Ortega Hwy 74, Lake Elsinore

Rosetta Canyon, Lake Elsinore
Rosetta Canyon, Lake Elsinore
Tuscany Hills, Lake Elsinore
Elm Beach, Lake Elsinore

Wolf Creek, Temecula

Jedidiah Rd., Temecula

Jedidiah Smith Rd., Temecula

Chardonnay Hills, Temecula

Via Del Toronjo, Wine Valley, Temecula

Wow, so many places in the Inland Empire. I'm going to start with Rancho Cucamonga, California. Only because I spent most of my youth there. There is the Rancho Cucamonga Estates on Vintage Dr. These homes are magnificent homes, quite lovely to die for million dollar properties. Now, they aren't as posh or large as the homes in San Antonio Heights in Upland, CA, but they are POSH. Very very nice homes. Now, let's hop on the 15 fwy and travel south. Now off of Hidden Springs Dr in Corona, there are some nice posh expensive properties ranging from $400,000 to $1,000,000.00 plus. 92881 zip code is definitely Inland Empire Posh. Let's get back on the 15 fwy south.

Next stop is Lake Elsinore, CA. Historical home to the stars of Hollywood once. The city had taken a down turn, only to begin to re-image itself and get that swank posh swagger back. It's got some time to go but its getting there because of three posh areas. The first area is off the Ortega Hwy, also known as the 74. There are some large lush posh properties in this area, ranging from $1,000,000 +. This is a fantastic place to live if you are trying to keep it swank. Displaying your large scenic views and properties overlooking the Lake is a great way to show off your posh. Now, if we travel down the 74, into Canyon Country, we will find a hidden gem of Lake Elsinore called Rosetta Canyon. These mega homes are ridiculous and beautiful. These large canyon properties are great for those who do not like the city hustle and bustle. It is a sleepy suburban community designed for the the middle and upper middle class. With home values that range from $400,000.00 to $800,000.00, these mega homes will make the heart melt of any lover of swank & posh atmosphere. Now, let's get on the 15 fwy once more, but not yet to leave Lake Elsinore. Remember, there are 3 Posh places here. Going Left on Railroad Canyon, one will find the posh Tuscany Hills. This, like Rosetta Canyon, is another hidden Canyon gem. These lush homes ranging from $300,000 to $800,000.00 again is the ideal for any individual who wants to keep it swank. The homes are high-end and just like the properties off the Ortega Hwy and in Rosetta Canyon, these homes are exclusive. Beautiful gorgeous properties, some even overlooking the once famed Canyon Lake. Very gorgeous scene Canyon views. Great for any seeker of suburban posh lifestyles. Okay, now back on the 15 fwy. Next exit, Rancho California Rd.

Welcome to Temecula, Wine Valley. Temecula is a beautifully posh semi-metropolis town. It's got the feel and hustle and bustle of a city. It has a very new and old feel to it. Going down Rancho California road away from the mountains, takes you to our next destination, Chardonnay Hills. This fabulous and beautiful middle class area is in expensive and is just off the road to wine valley. Homes ranging from the high $200,000 to $350,000.00 is a middle class seeker of posh-ness, dream. Okay, now lets drive down into Wine Valley. Take Rancho California Rd, to Glen Oaks Rd. Here is where we get to the poshest homes. Welcome to the Ranches of Via Del Toronjo. These posh homes range from $1,000,000 +. They are styled after the famed wine country style vineyards around them. These lush homes are gorgeous and to die for. Let's not leave Temecula just yet. We have to travel to Temecula Parkway south, and head towards Jedediah Smith Rd. Here we find more beautiful homes of Temecula. This homes are posh and swank, displaying style, acreage and class. Great features of these homes are their large entrances, large pools and massive homes, which can be seen from Temecula Parkway south, if you look towards the hills. Okay, lets leave here. Go to one last place off of  Wolf Valley Rd. Here you will find a street called Wolf Creek Dr. If you take Wolf  Creek Dr. to Oregon Lane, Red Mountain Way, Pinon Pine, Miner Rd, and surrounding areas, you will find this gem of a community hidden just across from Pechanga Hotel, Casino and Resort. This posh upper middle to middle class neighborhood has homes ranging from the mid $200,000 to $900,000.00+. These communities are posh posh posh... and across from a Resort I might add. ;)

For now, this is our posh tour from Rancho Cucamonga, CA south through the Inland Empire. Next we will go north and see what gems we can find. Then onto the swankiest most posh restaurants, clubs and things to do in the Inland Empire.

Until Next Time.... Keep it Swank!
